Here Doggy Doggy! (repost)

"Here Doggy Doggy!" Aug 2011.
This is one of the styles I love to draw. I really love this piece a lot because of the little humour I put in it. Unfortunately, when I asked friends, no one could really see what I hoped they would.

The main idea for this picture is the bone is intended for the woman's pet dog which got scared by the huge venus fly trap plant and in an effort to escape the greedy plant, jumped and clung onto the woman's chest. Can you see the dog?

Cartoon Illustration - Adeline

I received a really unexpected email last month. Someone requested me to do a cartoon version of her. It was something new and exciting to me (plus it was my first request :p), so I decided to give it a shot. Am really glad she loves the work :) And I want to say.. Thank you Adeline, for giving me this opportunity :)

Blog Header Design

I did a header design for my blog last month. The girl playing the flute is me. Yes, I know how to play the flute :) and why forest and why this theme? Well that's cuz forest and music is in my name and I do love the idea of being in my own world once in a while.

Earlier Look. Jul 2011.
Edited Look with more colours and looking more cheery. Aug 2011.

The Beginning (1/3)

This is what happens when a group of artists hang out together after work/classes. This is the first out of three drawings drawn over a span of 6 hours. Definitely brings back memories of the fun and laughter we had drawing this. We penned down whatever that came to mind immediately.
Penned Collaboration by: Pris Tan. Delun. Wen Hui. Hamla. Rey Erina.
The Beginning. Vectored. 2011.
Finally got round to vectoring one piece. It's not the best but I'll improve! Definitely learned new things while vectoring this.

Cats!

If I were to keep a pet real life, I would prefer dogs.  But in the digital world, I simply love cats!

FYP: Vitali

Vitali. 2011.
Vitali Exploration & Development
Well, just in case the words are too small to be read:
  • Horns are only for show - to trick potential predators. Bluntness reflects its non-violent nature.
  • Flat Rounded beak makes it unable to survive on its own.
  • Armour to protect its more sensitive areas.
  • One-leggedness caused by a reaction when it fell into one of Anatolia's (Gypsy from another realm) potions at egg stage.
  • Wears a watch on its right wing. The watch is the only one still working in that world so Anatolia knows what the correct time should be after she stopped time in her world.

Revenge of the Zombie Courtesans

Project X: Revenge of the Zombie Courtesans. 2011.
They were once the most sought after courtesans but were murdered. Now that they have come back from the dead, they are thirsty for revenge. (And attacking with fire will not stop them.)

This piece is done for a game cinematic scene. Apr 2011.

Abandoned Train Station. 2011.
Matte Painting is something really new to me and I love it. Need to work more on my composition and lighting.
